Led by Group Leader Lee Jungsuk, Design Group 1 consists of the Total Habitat BU, Urban Regeneration BU, and Urban Design BU. The Integrated Housing BU proposes diverse living spaces including urban residential-commercial complexes, private housing in non-capital regions, and lodging and dormitory facilities that resemble residential spaces. The Urban Regeneration BU focuses on large-scale redevelopment, reconstruction, private sales projects, and rental housing businesses. The Urban Design BU specializes in urban and master planning for new town development, improvement and district unit planning for existing cities, as well as urban architecture-related policy and research projects. Lee oversees these three BUs with extensive experience leading housing development projects of various scales and types.
Having earned a master’s degree in architectural engineering from Yonsei University, Lee joined Junglim Architecture and has expanded his expertise across residential, mixed-use, and office facility designs while serving as Deputy Director of the Shenyang Office in China (2010–2012) and as Design Group 4 Leader. Notable projects include Paraspara Seoul; City Pradium The Gangnam; Eco Smart City in Thu Thiem, Ho Chi Minh City; Lotte Mall Westlake Hanoi in Vietnam; Nongshim Baeksan Artesian Water Plant, Mt. Baekdu; Lotte World Shenyang in China; Yojin Y-City Ilsan; and Wish City Blooming Goyang.
